In December, 2017, Cigna distributed updated ID cards and as noted in a previous correspondence, duplicate sets were also included in error.
Please destroy any duplicates if you have not already done so as they include the very same information as your ID card or keep them in the event you lose your ID card or it becomes worn or damaged.
But before slipping your card back into your wallet, please take a moment to note that effective January 1, 2018, as a result of collective bargaining, some copays in the CIGNA Copay Plan may vary by bargaining unit or non-represented status. Note the sample here and your copays appear on the right side of the ID card sent by CIGNA under the UMS logo and are applicable to your respective bargaining unit or non-represented status.
And don’t forget that customer service telephone number on the back of the card too. When you call 1-800-244-6224, a customer service representative can help you find a provider or service that fits you and your plan. You can connect to a health coach to manage your health, feel better, or manage a condition. You can check with a pharmacist about your medications and any potential interactions to be aware of, access the nurse line or find out more about telehealth.
Cigna is there to help.
