If you like to track trends, here’s one to ponder. How many colleges or universities offer wellness programs like RiseUp?
According to the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, approximately 60% of the more than 300 institutions surveyed in 2017 furnish such initiatives to their employees,
but here’s the number to keep in mind.
Of the colleges and universities that do not currently have such a program, more than one-third plan to launch one in the next twelve months, up sharply from a year ago.
What does that tell you? It suggests your University of Maine System is out in front of the recent resurgence in providing resources to help employees pursue a healthier and happier lifestyle.
And, out in front of that curve, our momentum continues to build judging by some new numbers from our Health Coaching partner, TrestleTree!
If someone were to ask how many employees and spouses/partners completed their 2017 Level 1 incentive requirement through Health Coaching, what would be your guess? 500? 1,000?
The answer is that 2,587 employees and spouses/partners navigated their way to reduced premiums for healthcare with TrestleTree in the first year of our new coaching program.
Ready for another great stat? More than 1,000 completed Level 2 through coaching, but here’s the most interesting news.
1,670 benefits-eligible individuals CONTINUED with TrestleTree into this year, 2018 even after meeting incentive requirements.
O.K., how about just one more? Of those individuals who completed two coaching appointments, 84% completed a third…and of those completing a third, 80% went on to a fourth visit with a health coach.
And, those who chose to engage in health coaching and self-report improved their nutrition, increased their level of exercise, and lost weight all contributing to a healthier and happier University of Maine System.
